The projects were evaluated by a global panel of judges with various areas of industry expertise. CEDIA is the international trade association that represents the smart home technology industry. CEIDA has been around for over 30 years and is one of the pioneering organisations of the home automation industry. Its founding members have played an integral role in getting the technology to the level it is today. CEDIA now has over 3,700 members internationally, including Ryelec. The annual smart home awards are about celebrating the best projects from around the world and bringing the community together to lift each other up. This was our first year entering and attending the awards so we are very happy to bring home two awards.

Our Zenith graphics package was the winner in the Excellence in User Interface Design category. This is a great achievement that we are very proud of. Our Zenith package is a sample project that can be loaded into automation softwares and used to create custom smart building app designs. It is designed to save hours of time and result in high-end and user friendly interface designs. We developed all aspects of Zenith, including hundreds of icons, wallpapers, sample pages and custom code, alongside a helpful user manual. We personally love working with our Zenith graphics so it is great to be validated and recognised in this way. Award-winning interface design sounds pretty amazing to us!

We were also the winner of the Excellence in Business category in the CEDIA Business Awards. The business award looks at all areas of operation across a company and what we’re doing to reach new levels, drive progress and benefit our clients and the community. We were up against some other incredible businesses in the industry, so we are very grateful to have been named the 2023 winner! This award recognised our work across automation and energy, our unique diverse offerings that streamline things massively for our clients, and also our marketing and customer experience with our Build Your System form and our Sydney showroom. 

We had a great time at the awards, saw some incredible projects, met some amazing people and left feeling motivated and inspired. Thanks very much CEDIA for the awards, and to our community whose support means a lot to us! And of course, thanks to the Ryelec team. Everyone on the team plays a vital role and none of our projects would be possible without them.

We have some incredible projects currently in the works so we’re looking forward to the 2024 awards. Onwards and upwards!
